How could we forget the all-classic corn maze? Whether it’s at a local farm or a town fall festival, finding your way through a corn maze is an ultimate family-friendly activity you can’t miss. Gordo’s Fun Farm is new in 2020, and is perfect for kids of all ages.

And something a little more challenging for older kids. Fall is a great time to take advantage of old-school farm faves, like winding your way through a corn maze. U-pick, we pick, your kiddos will love picking bright crispy apples on a sunny day. It seems like almost everything has its own festival during the harvest season.

And cinnamon rolls…and a nice grainy bread with seeds, and cookies. Kids and adults alike will love the colorful light displays, an enchanted forest, pumpkin reef, pirate’s cove, and live artist demonstrations. There are three corn mazes to choose from, including one that traces 5 miles of maze across 30 acres of field. In the harvest season, you’ll find plenty of squashes, like pumpkin and butternut squash. Another great place to visit in the fall is Cripple Creek, Colorado thanks to awesome events like the Autumn and Art Show. Hikes can vary from easy to moderate to rock-climbing-level of difficulty.

There are so many great ways to be kind to others and make someone’s day. Fall is a great time to go for a train ride with your kids. The view out of the windows is lovely and there are so many fun places to go! If you have access to an Amtrak train or other passenger train, pick a destination where you can spend a few hours and take the train!
