Nestled in a forest on the western high point of Duluth, Minnesota, Spirit Mountain Campground offers walk-in tenting as well as 73 campsites equipped with fire pits, picnic tables and electricity. Thirty-nine sites have water hook-ups, and two shower buildings offer 24-hour convenience. The Spirit Mountain disc golf course is one of the best in the Northland! Wind your way through forest, trails and onto open terrain. The South Mountain Recreation Complex is nestled along Northfield Avenue and Cherry Lane in West Orange. The complex features a variety of recreation opportunities including Turtle Back Zoo, Codey Arena, MiniGolf Safari, the children’s Regatta Playground, Paddleboating, a 1.7 mile walkway, and the Clipper Pavilion picnic shelter.

Moon Mountains’ Disc Golf Course is a high Alpine championship level course, with an 18 hole par of 63 at 8,072 feet for short pin and par 65 at 8,970 feet for long pins. Hole number 17 is currently the longest disc golf hole in New Mexico. Moon Mountain was truly designed as a championship level course including long up-hill distance and strategic placement shots— this course will challenge you and your skills.

The City of Denver acquired Dedisse Ranch in 1919, after the town of Evergreen, Colorado was already established as a popular summer retreat. At 1,000 acres, Daniels Park is characterized by its unique sandstone ridge and spectacular view of the Front Range extending from Pikes Peak to the south, all the way to the Mummy Range near the Wyoming border. The park is within a larger regional open space system of 11,000 acres that protects the unique rim-rock landscape that stretches from Sedalia to Highlands Ranch.

Countless kids have made their first-ever turns at Bogus Basin. Whether it’s with their families, friends, or through one of the many affordable school outreach programs, Bogus Basin exists to serve generations of Idahoans – from age 2 to 102. Once you reach a fork in the road, continue on Forest Road 543 for roughly 3 miles until you reach the lake. Head west on 285 South until you reach the small town of Bailey. Turn left onto Country Road 68 and proceed straight for 11 miles until you reach the lake. Northfield Mountain is a four-season recreation facility situated along a beautiful sweep of the mountainside, with satellite facilities strung along a 7-mile stretch of the Connecticut River. Spend a day cross-country skiing, hiking, and mountain biking on 26 miles of trails. Camp at Barton Cove, where you can put in for canoeing or kayaking, and hop on an upriver canoe shuttles at the Barton Cove recreation area. Take an interpretive riverboat cruise on the 44-seat Heritage Riverboat.

It is also a popular destination for tourists, photographers, exercise buffs, and outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. The historic Lariat Loop Scenic Byway also runs through the park, 66 acres of which was set aside as a key resting spot for the popular drive in 1915. The Dedisse Trail weaves through the western and northern portions of the Park, connecting to multiple use trails in Jefferson County’s Alderfer-Three Sisters Park. Dedisse Park offers views of Elephant Butte, Hicks Mountain and Bergen Peak—all of which are protected as Denver Mountain Park Conservation/Wilderness areas. Dedisse Mountain Park includes Evergreen Golf Course and Evergreen Lake.
